AtScale Release C2024.7.0 Summary

Product GA Date: August 14, 2024

This release marks the beginning of a monthly release cadence for containerized AtScale.  It follows on the heels of the C2024.2.0 release just a few weeks earlier, which was the last quarterly release.

New / Enhanced Capabilities with C2024.7.0

Packages - the big feature is packages for sharing semantic objects in Git. In order to support the current and future requirements (multi-repo, composite models), it was decided to deprecate sub-modules in favor of packages.  To learn more, read the related product documentation article.

Changes to the User Interface - users of previous versions of container-based AtScale may notice slight changes to the location of certain menus and buttons, as well as a couple new ones.

  • In the repo browser, you will see new buttons for adding a new file and adding a new folder.
  • From the design canvas, the add (+) button in upper left hand corner was enhanced to allow the addition of an object (listed below) inside the dimension and/or data model that is open;
    • measure (only for model)

    • calculated measure (only for a model)

    • dataset (for both model and dimension)

    • dimension (for both model and dimension)

  • When working on a data model, the data model preview is now in the properties panel.
